Death do Us part

In Skyrim, love is eternal… but life is not. This mod brings a touch of realism and compassion to the world by allowing widowed NPCs - both vanilla and mod‑added - to eventually move on with their lives and become eligible for marriage once more. How it works The mod dynamically detects when an NPC dies. If the deceased had a spouse who is still alive, that spouse will enter a mourning period lasting a random 2-10 days. Once the mourning ends, the surviving spouse becomes eligible for marriage, just like any other potential partner in Skyrim. Relationship requirements remain unchanged. The player must still earn their trust and reach the proper relationship rank before marriage dialogue appears. When a widowed NPC completes their mourning period, the player receives a courier-delivered letter from Maramal, the Priest of Mara.
